IT WORKS ON CATS!
BRB, gonna do this to Thomas.
I wonder if I got one of these and hung it on a wall they could all access, which of them would destroy it.
Ink cat pawprints in a 15th c. book. I was just wondering today if calligraphers of the past had problems with cats walking across wet ink and ruining things.
Cats. Cats never change.

You know, we ran into this with our cats, but eventually they started using the scratching post. I suspect it has to do with smelling ‘new’, instead of like something that belongs in the house.
Our new cats! The big fluffy one is actually a male calico, which is rare because it’s a genetic aberration - color is linked to the X chromosome, so one X has to be black and one X has to be orange for a calico coloration. Male calicos more often than not have Klinefelters (XXY), which is why they’re so rare.
Because he’s a male calico, his previous owners named him RuPaul. It’s fitting because he’s turning out to be a huge drama queen anyway.
The shorthair is Jenny Any Dots, and she’s slightly more skittish but she’s very playful and affectionate.
They are both extremely well-behaved, they don’t bite or scratch, and they’re good friends, even if RuPaul is a bit of a butt and pushes Jenny away from her food if he finishes his first.
Hooray for cats! Buddy cats are great, I love how mine all get along.

The used bookstore in Vancouver that I used to frequent had a cat. He would lounge around on top of the comics bins.
Yes, becatted bookstores are the best! I miss the one that used to be near me and which had three resident black cats. Two were named Fee and Foo. I don’t know what the last one’s name was — probably Horatio or something like that.
I’ve never been to a becatted bookstore, and that makes me sad. However, I have delivered to a couple of places where the owner had their dog in the store.
